Reece and Lauren Messerly are the Co-Writers of River Lakes Bassin. They strive to bring you the best fishing reports, product reviews, vacation ideas, news and general Bassin and outdoors stuff from across the Western United States.
Lauren grew up in Winnemucca, NV. She has hunted all of her life and generally kills bigger deer than Reece. She recieved her associates degree in the Science of Film. Her interests include spending time with her handsome husband, hunting anything that moves, playing with her Mini-Beagle "Rogue", having Netflix Marathons, being on the water in a fast boat and art.
Reece grew up all over the Western United States, but was born in Montana. His first fish was a Largemouth Bass at age 5 and has been addicted ever since. While growing up in Montana, Alaska and Nevada he developed a love for all things outdoors but prefers bass fishing, bird hunting and big game hunting. Currently he is aspiring to be a tournament bass angler. His interests are spending time with his wife and family, outdoor writing, chasing fat smallmouth and largemouth bass, walking up mountains for chukar partridge and quail, archery, shooting, and of course those Netflix Marathons. He is currently serving as a United States Marine but is planning to make the transition to civilian life very soon.
